A man died in his sleep after taking a Viagra-like drug that contains the same active ingredient, which is used by the drug’s manufacturer. He was found with his remains in a bedroom, police said.
The man, described as 45-years-old, was believed to be in his 60s, police said.
The man was taken into custody at the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
He was arrested on Friday, said Patrick Tarrant, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
Tarrant told police the man was taken to a hospital and was taken to a local emergency room for treatment.
Tarrant said the man “had been taking it for a year and a half,” but was “not very good at it.”
The man’s mother, Mary Tarrant, told The Monterey Bay Solicitor that the man “appeared very pale and pale and said that his head had been crushed up into pieces.”
Tarrant said the man’s body was found in his bedroom after police found him in a car in a parking lot at 1230 North Monterey Ave.
Police said Tarrant was arrested after a search of his car.
Tarrant told investigators that the man had been in the car with a woman, and when he was arrested, he found a pill bottle and the man had an erection, Tarrant said.
Tarrant said his next move would be to go to the hospital and see what the man was doing, as the police suspect the man had been taking Viagra.
Police said they found the man’s car in the parking lot in a parking lot at 1230 North Monterey Ave.
Tarrant said the man’s body was found in the car.
A third suspect, described as an officer, was taken to a regional hospital in stable condition and is pending a warrant for his death, Tarrant said.
The man was transported to the hospital with a lung infection and blood work. A search of his person is being conducted.
Tarrant said the man was also taken to the emergency room, where he was treated for the infection.
Tarrant said police believe he had been taking the Viagra pills.
The man, identified as Thomas Lister, 24, of Monterey, said he “took the pills and then said, ‘I’m going to kill you,’” Tarrant said.
He said the man also took the Viagra pills. Tarrant said he believed the man was taking the pills.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Tarrant said the man’s death was not yet known.
Tarrant said the man died of his blood clots, and the cause of death was unknown.
Tarrant said he has known the man for years.
The man’s last known address is in New York City.
